These engines continue to power agricultural tractors, combine harvesters, generator sets and a broad range of industrial machinery where precise coolant-temperature monitoring is essential for emissions compliance and engine protection.
Technical specifications:
Thread 3/8-18 NPTF, hex 22 mm, overall probe length 55 mm. The sensing element is a negative-temperature-coefficient (NTC) thermistor calibrated 2.2 kΩ ±3 % at 25 °C, falling to 180 Ω ±5 % at 100 °C, delivering a seamless 0–5 V ratiometric signal to the engine control module. Operating media temperature range is –40 °C to 140 °C, accuracy ±2 °C, response time <1.5 s in flowing coolant.
Material & performance features:
The probe shell is forged from corrosion-resistant brass and nickel-plated to withstand long-term exposure to glycol-based coolants. The sensing tip is over-moulded in glass-filled PPS, then potted in high-temperature epoxy for complete immunity to shock, moisture and electromagnetic interference.
